gina Breedlove - Benefit Concert for Be Present, Inc. Scholarship Fund
ABOUT gina Breedlove: (www.ginabreedlove.com)

gina Breedlove is a Singer, Songwriter, Sound Healer and
Medicine Woman. She has toured the world with her healing artistry
she calls Folksoul. Her performances are more like Spiritual gatherings,
with music being the offering.

"In Goddess Culture gina Breedlove is a vocal Priestess,
leaving her privileged audience the recipients of her pure spirit
and deep vocal well" -Holly Near

"gina's voice is sheer revelry, and her beauty captures your heart and mind" - Jazztimes

gina began her career at 16 when she sang support vocals for the amazing Phylis Hyman. Soon after she toured for four years with Harry Belafonte' as featured vocalist. gina has toured with many incredible artists who, like herself, defy and redefine genre; Ronny Jordan, Ani Difranco, Sekou Sundiata, and Toshi Reagan, to name a few. An actress as well, gina created the role of "Sarabi" in the Broadway musical "The Lion King", and toured in the national company.

ABOUT THE VENUE: experience the vocal gift of gina Breedlove in the acoustic perfection of the Maybeck Studio for the Performing Arts, a small 40 seat performance space located in a private home in the Berkeley hills, built in 1914 by Bernard Maybeck. The studio has a rich tradition of musical performances dating back over 100 years.
