Musae presents Blue Skies, Bluegrass, and Beyond

The 2010-2011 season concludes with Blue Skies, Bluegrass, and Beyond--an innovative program featuring Musae in collaboration with local bluegrass musicians. Bluegrass versions of familiar classic rock songs and Appalachian gospel hymns and folk songs will appear alongside beautiful madrigals, part songs, and contemporary chansons. Musae celebrates the nature that grows around us with Cornysh's "Ah, Robyn," Lauridsen's "Dirait-on," and Delibes' stunning "Flower Duet" from Lakme, turns to the sky with Stanford's "Blue Bird" and Arlen's "Over the Rainbow," and looks beyond with the bluegrass hymn "Angel Band," "Swing Low," and others.
