Director- Christopher Chacon======LA FIESTA ETERNA is a thought-provoking documentary film about how one culture has embraced the inevitable journey we must all take, "death", with the extraordinary Mexican celebration known as, "Dias de los Muertosâ" (Days of the Dead). Our Narrator guides us through the highlights of this colorful and compelling celebration featuring events in Oaxaca and Patzcuaro, known to many as the heart of these celebrations. This breathtaking journey will highlight the Mexican lifestyle that surrounds the passionate beliefs that make up the preparation and celebration of these mesmerizing events and rituals and how they are being embraced by other cultures. We will also explore the fascinating ancient origins of this celebration, as well as the long-history of stirring music and art associated with it. Interviews range from the three of the highest academic experts to villagers who have celebrated from one generation to the next. Enlightening, festive and straight-forward, LA FIESTA ETERNA will take audiences through this awe-inspiring unique tradition and reveal that it is in celebrating death, that we appreciate and embrace life to its fullest.
