Beating Back Bed Bugs
This full-day bed bug conference will go beyond the basics and address the need to create workable bed bug management programs by facility type. Concurrent break-out sessions will be held to facilitate constructive group discussion. Presentations and resources will be targeted at decision-makers in order to help develop policies, protocol, and cooperation to better combat the bed bug epidemic.
Afternoon break-out sessions include:
Schools and Childcares
Multi-unit Housing (including senior housing facilities)
Client Service Providers (in home care, counseling, etc.)
Shelters and Group Housing (dormitories, transitional, etc.)
In addition to state-of-the-art instruction, every attendee will receive a toolkit of educational materials to share with staff, plus samples of useful tools and coupons to help create bed bug free spaces.
Speakers will be experts in bed bug control by facility/service type including representatives from Indiana HUD, U.S. EPA Region 5, Marion County Health Department, Improving Kids Environment, Midwest Pesticide Action Center and others.
In addition, demonstrations of various pest control tools and techniques will be provided and professional pest control operators will be on hand to answer questions.
Refreshments and lunch will be provided.
