about On Becoming:

Conception & compositions:
Sasha Bogdanowitsch: voice, doso'ngoni, swarsangam, percussion, halo and electronics
Sabrina Lastman: voice, kantele, percussion and electronics

on MURDER
MURDER is a ballad cycle by Tucker Fuller and Megan Levad, writing as 1928. Comprised of nine songs written for two sopranos and a piano. Each of the songs in MURDER draws on a traditional murder ballad theme—resignation, glee, horror, penitence—and a particular style of music. In addition to folk, blues, and country, Murder incorporates elements of hymn and pre-1930s jazz standards, as well as some of American music's most popular songs.

featuring Kjersti Kveli and Delea Shand, accompanied by Justin Snyder.

This performance is presented as a part of the "Ear ♥ Music" Chamber Music series @ The Tank

about Ear ♥ Music
Ear ♥ Music is where New Yorkers can get their aural fix. Featuring some of New York's most cutting edge performers, composers and programming, this is a modern chamber music series presented to an intimate crowd. We believe that audiences want to be engaged – not simply entertained – by the music they go out to hear. We nurture our listeners by presenting repertoire that is challenging yet relevant, and by providing context for our work. Ear ♥ Music:Makers opens discussions about the art-music of now taking the work of interviewed composers as a starting point. These events also include live performance. http://bit.ly/earheart
