A Place to Bury Strangers, To Kill a Petty Bourgeoisie, and Artifact Shore
A Place to Bury Strangers  is a Brooklyn, NY based noise-rock band composed of Oliver Ackermann on guitar and vocals, Dion Lunadon on bass, and Jay Space on drums. Formed in 2003, the band's early live performances were notoriously chaotic and have driven their title of being "New York City's loudest band." APTBS has built their reputation from their unique ability to produce guitar effects that yield an ear shatteringly loud garage/ shoegaze wall of sound that is at the same time melodic and emotive. In 2008, APTBS toured alongside rock project Nine Inch Nails and psychedelic pop band MGMT  during their UK tour. The band released their first self-titled album in September of 2007 and has since released their sophomore album, Exploding Head, in October of 2009 upon signing with Mute Records.
