Throw a Candy Shrimp on the Derby!
Following their debut at the Highland Fling Scottish Roller Derby Tournament, the Dundee Destroyers are hosting their first ever bout. Who better to play against than our sister team, the lovely Granite City Roller Girls? Friendly off the track but promising to be focused and competitive on the track this bout will be an exciting showcase of Scotland's newest Roller Derby teams. This bout will also mark the sad farewell of the Destroyer's own Xanadon't, heading back to her sunnier homeland of Oz, as well as the Granite City Girls' Candy Moho, who is making a move to Glasgow. These girls will be missed by both their teams, and we want to give them a goodbye bout to remember!
Full demonstrations of the game and the rules will be shown before the first whistle blows so even if you've never seen derby before you're sure to get a feel for the game in no time!
Merchandise, food and vendor stalls will also be available with half time entertainment, and music throughout by DJ Col. Under 14s free to attend if accompanied by a paying adult. Doors open 12pm. 6:30pm at Kage Nightclub, St Andrews Lane for Skaters and NSOs: Come along if you want to order some pizza and get a few early drinks!
7:30pm: Fans welcome to join us for some drinks, dancing and banter
Free entry to all skaters and spectators so try not to wash off your entry stamp!
