The Stuffed Animal STATE FAIR Show is an interactive theater experience for children and their stuffed animals, co-hosted by Leslye Orr and her family. It is recommended for children ages 3+, but all ages are welcome.
Bring your favorite stuffed animal and join Zip the Chipmunk and Gus the Raccoon as they head to the STATE FAIR. Bring a camera as we welcome you to take photos for this show. Leslye Orr animates the whole gang with wacky sounds and voices while also sharing creative ideas for imaginative play. A tiny-sized tea party for all stuffed animals follows each performance, which runs about 45 minutes.
What you can expect when you come to a Stuffed Animal Show:
Our Stuffed Animal Shows are 45 minutes long and are designed for children ages 3+. The shows involve audience participation and interaction. We invite kids to come on to the stage with their stuffed animals to participate in fun activities. We understand that you may need to bring your younger ones under age 3 along, but we recommend that you only bring them if they can sit and listen during the show, or are able to follow simple activity directions with the help of an adult if they come up on stage.
Before you come to Dreamland Arts please prepare your children by letting them know that it is a small theater where we walk and move about in a gentle fashion. We ask that all adults stay with their children while they are in the theater. We invite all children to bring their own stuffed animals. If you forget to bring one we have some for you to borrow. Please note that at the end of each performance we have a mini-tea party. We offer light snacks and beverages for purchase, or you can just enjoy a pretend tea party.
Please arrive 15 minutes prior to the event time. You can park for free on the street, on either side of Hamline Ave., right in front of the theater building. Thank you.
