San Francisco International Flute Festival 2010
San Francisco International Flute Festival proudly presents Competition, Masterclasses, Flute Choirs, Flute Vendors, and a Gala Concert with host Viviana Guzman (Chile). Participating flutists include Matej Zupan (Slovenia) Principal, Slovenian National Radio Symphony Orchestra; Bulent Evcil (Turkey) Principal, Istanbul State Symphony Orchestra; Timothy Day (USA), Principal, San Francisco Symphony and San Francisco Conservatory; Robin McKee (USA), Asst. Principal, San Francisco Symphony; Isabelle Chapuis (France/USA) Principal, San Jose Opera; Carol Alban (USA) Flutist/Composer; Nika Rejto (USA) Jazz Flutist.
Also performing are the following Bay Area Flute Choirs: San Jose Youth Symphony Avant Flute Choir, Teresa Orozco-Petersen, Director; Bel Canto Flutes, Gail Edwards; Stanford Flute Ensemble, Karen Van Dyke, Director; Magic Flutes, Pamela Ravenelle, Director; and the 1st Place Prize Competition Winner will perform as Soloist with Magic Flutes Flute Choir.
