SANTA BARBARA MINUTE FILM FESTIVAL EAST

Back by popular demand, the sold out 2010 Santa Barbara Minute Film Festival can be viewed on the big screen once again.

The Santa Barbara Minute Film Festival, which played to a standing-room only-crowd May 1 at the Faulkner Gallery, will hold an encore presentation in the Screening Room on the 13th floor of the Ocean Tower at RESORTS CASINO HOTEL on Friday July 30 at 7 p.m. Tickets are $10 a piece, available at the door or by calling 609-823-9159. Proceeds benefit both festival organizations.

The festival features some 50 one minute films by filmmakers and directors from around the world, with eight countries and nine states represented. The program includes thrillers, documentaries, experimental works, animation and horror, each with a running time between 60 and 90 seconds. With intermission, the program lasts 90 minutes. The UCSB Daily Nexus called the festival, Short and sweet fascinating and diverse.

Festival founder and director, Betty Johnson, a Ventnor native said,"I am thrilled we have had so many requests to show the films again. To be able to showcase the efforts of these skillful filmmakers in my home area is quite remarkable".

The SBMFF Best of the Fest winner was Yongwa Chot. An animated piece," We Are All Here". Chot is from New Jersey and expects to be at the festival along with other filmmakers.
