The Free Sound Ahn-somble
The Free Sound Ahn-somble is TENTH INTERVENTION's inventive and improvisational septendectet under the direction of composer Dorian Wallace. Utilizing a roster of illustrious musicians from the New York City jazz community, The Free Sound Ahn-somble combines elements of classical avant-garde, spontaneous improvisation, and big band jazz to offer a new take on creative and improvisational music for the 21st century.
On February 7 at the cell theatre, The Free Sound Ahn-somble will present works commissioned for large jazz ensemble by six esteemed composers of the NYC contemporary classical community.
They have each written a new work for The Free Sound Ahn-somble, and will have their premiere at this exciting show.
