Ear Heart Music: From the Margins, This, Unmentioned
This sensually provocative multi-media work was inspired by a cycle of poetry written by Kat Mandeville that explores both the literal and metaphorical implications of isolation and depression, as well as sexuality, spirituality, social class, rural and urban life.
The first production of the show, co-produced by choreographer Bronwen MacArthur, was a modern ballet and sold-out this past October over a 3 day run at the Brooklyn Lyceum. Our performance at the Tank will focus specifically on the video and music elements of that production.
Bryan Senti, who for the past two years has assisted Rufus Wainwright produce and mount various productions (including his opera, "Prima Donna", and his collaboration with Robert Wilson, "Sonnets") around the world, blends his popular and classical influences in this work for large ensemble and live electronics. In 2006, he co-founded the music production company, Found Objects Music Productions LLC, along with Trevor Gureckis and Jay Wadley.
Planet is Nikolai Antonie, Kohta Asakura and Jimmy Sakai. Planet is a multidisciplinary, multimedia, art collective. Since forming at Carnegie Mellon University six years ago, they have created films, installations, and interactive performances, often reaching beyond the framework of one genre, referencing multiple mediums in the same breath.
