About the Play
There Be Dragons is the story of a three-hundred-and-twelve-year-old dragon girl who falls for a boy from Texas, the story of a young Minnesota mother whose old lover, a dragon, flies in for a visit one cold winter night, and a meditation on what happens when our stories get real.
Mosey on over to the Blue Theatre for a frosty cold one, some tasty barbecue, and one heckuva sweet new play. We'll be kicking up our heels to some great live music after the show!
About the Playwright
Jenny Connell is a Brooklyn-based playwright and teacher, a member of Ars Nova's Play Group and Austin Script Works, and a graduate of UT's MFA Theater program. Her plays have been produced in New York, Chicago, and Austin, and have been finalists for BAPF, the Heideman, Seven Devils, and the O'Neill conference.
