For the past decade, Art Shanty Projects has organized a month-long public art happening that transforms frozen lake surfaces into interactive, artist-driven temporary communities. September 2014 announcements of a new Executive Director and suspension of the 2015 On-Ice Program have left Minnesotan's in the cold wondering where the shanties will turn up next...
In February Art Shanty Projects can be found at the Fulton in North East--the heart of Minneapolis' Arts District.
DATE: February 28, 2015 TIME: 5pm-9pm
PLACE: Fulton Brewery, 2540 2nd St. NE, Minneapolis
PRICE: $15 advance / $20 door
INCLUDES: Admission & one free drink, including the opportunity to try Fulton's limited edition infusion beer crafted especially for the event!
Keeping with its nonprofit mission, Art Shanty Projects will transform Fulton's communal spaces into imaginative environments. The evening promises to be filled with entertainment by local musicians and DJ's, special appearances by former shanty artists, raffle opportunities, and food and beverage sales to benefit the organization.
