San Francisco Renaissance Voices (Todd Jolly, Music Director) presents this unique concert dedicated to proving that the pen is indeed mightier than the sword, with music by women composers from the Medieval, Renaissance and Baroque periods and features the Magnificat, Opus 19 #10 of Isabella Leonarda (1620-1704). Other composers featured include Hildegard von Bingen (1098-1179), Maddelena Casulana (1544-1590), Maria Xaveria Peruchona (1652-1709), Barbara Strozzi (1619-1677), the music of the Trobairitz and others.
