In their first appearance in New York City, the nation's most acclaimed pipe band will perform their repertoire of traditional music, competition medleys, and traditional favorites in an intimate atmosphere. Appearing shortly before their departure for Glasgow, where they will compete in the World Pipe Band Championships, you'll get the opportunity to hear one of only 3 American Grade 1 bands in top form, playing haunting marches, lilting strathspeys, and blistering jigs, reels, and hornpipes.
Joining City of Washington are their new-found friends, the ladies of the New York Celtic Dancers. NYCD brings a New York-attitude to traditional Scottish dance, showcasing contemporary dance interpretations through wild and engaging performances.
City of Washington and New York Celtic dance are proud to welcome you to an intimate evening of celtic music, dance, and a pint or two!!
Note: Take the 4,5,6 train to 86th Street. Venue is on 82nd St. btwn. 2nd and 3rd Aves.
