Join us for a documentary film fest where we are presenting Nora! (about Nora Poillion from the first certified organic restaurant in the U.S.) and Fresh (about innovators in the sustainable food movement). Afterwards we are having a panel discussion with local innovators in the D.C. area who are trying to bring greater access to our low-income community members.
Second Genesis is a nonprofit in the D.C. that's been around 40 years. We help clients in the justice system get residential treatment for their drug addictions. Right now, we are building gardens, high tunnels, composting bins, and nutrition education courses at our five facilities.
