GO AWAY BIRDS
Catherine Ireton, lead singer of Belle and Sebastian's 'God Help the Girl' and Michael John McCarthy, songwriter/guitarist with Zoey van Goey have been playing music together for about 9 years or so. This is our collaborative extravaganza. It is a side project, but one with purpose. We are working hard to self record and self release an EP per season. So far we have managed spring, summer, autumn and soon to release another one for spring 2010... (OK winter got a bit too busy, but 4 out of 5 aint bad). We like to take trains to play and sing anywhere and for anyone who asks. It's great. Michael John buys a cornish pasty, Catherine gets a soya latte and we look out the window and stick labels onto our CDs. Our third EP, Heart Thump Heart Thump, is available to download (only until the daffs appear) on www.thegoawaybirds.com and our next EP, Those Bombs, is on its way.
