Ear Heart Music: The Voxare Quartet with Amelia Lukas, flute presents
Since the beginning of music, composers have been inspired by the "darker" side of life, some believing that music is the medium by which humans can transcend the world of the living and reach the world of the dead. This concert explores pieces whose themes are drawn from darkness. The critically acclaimed VOXARE QUARTET is joined by extraordinary flutist AMELIA LUKAS in a riveting and deeply moving program of works ranging from neo-romanticism to arrangements rooted in punk-rock.
