Sambatuque, Fleurs d'Egypte Dance Co. and Naseem Band
Flowers of Egypt Promotions presents acclaimed Brazilian band Sambatuque with award winning Dance Company Fleurs d'Egypte. Sure to make you sweat, this spectacular night of music and dance from across the globe will get your hips shaking. Talented Lebanese duo Naseem Band opens the show.
Sambatuque (samba-too-kie) is an exciting new quintet fronted by singer/dancer Mikaela Romero and performing a vibrant and eclectic blend of music from Brazil and the Caribbean. Romero's strikingly pure and rhythmically precise vocal delivery and uncanny aptitude for Portuguese and Spanish lyrics has led her to perform with Seattle's top Cuban and Brazilian bands including: Grupo Ashe, led by Cuban drummer Pedro Vargas and Banda Alecrim, led by Brazilian pianist Jovino Santos Neto.

Founded in 2005 by six professional dancers with experience spanning two decades and five continents, Fleurs d'Egypte (Flur-day-jheept) is a vital force in contemporary World Dance. With their unparalleled beauty, joyous confidence, and exquisite costumes, les Fleurs combine bliss and enchantment in a theatrical setting. Fleurs d'Egypte placed 2nd at the International Belly Dance Competition in Las Vegas and are featured on IAMED's Belly-Dance-O-Rama performance DVD.
