The Kumulipo is an epic Hawaiian creation chant more than 2,000 lines long â a sophisticated narrative that recounts the origin of species and dawn of humanity. Selected passages from this iconic poem have been woven into chants and dances that will premier at API Cultural Center's 13th Annual United States of Asia America Festival.
Na Lei Hulu will also feature a collection of favorite pieces from its rich body of work, in honor of its 25th anniversary this year.
