The Barking Beauty Pageant continues for its third year in Philadelphia on Sunday, May 16, 2010 from 3-5pm at L'Etage, Philly's favorite alternative cabaret space. With ActiveWear, GlamourWear, and Talent competitions, participating pooches will vie for a grand prize package that includes a fashion photo shoot from New York photographer Jo Lance. Category winners and overall runners-up will receive top prizes including gift certificates, designer apparel, and personalized pet paintings. Leslie Hughes, host of the American Miss National Pageant, will MC the event along with her Yorkshire Terrier, SalliSue. Ms. Hughes and SalliSue, decked out in matching outfits, will be joined by industry judges to name this year's winner. The Barking Beauty Pageant benefits a Philadelphia animal awareness organization, in a truly distinctive way.
