Food Lit BookClub (April, May, & June 2010)
Here is the second three-month installment of our wildly popular food lit bookclub. It was so popular the first time around that we decided to add a second group. When purchasing tickets, please note the group and corresponding time slot you are signing up for.
Here's how the club works:
-By signing up you commit to reading the book of the month (see below) and attending the club meeting for three months. At the end of three months you can continue on in the group or choose to give up your spot to a new comer.
-Each group has a moderater who we encourage you to send discussion topics/questions to throughout the month as you read the book.
-All club meetings take place at 18 Reasons on the last Saturday of the month. Group A meets from 1-3:30 and Group B meets 4-6:30. No food or drink are provided by 18 Reasons, but we encourage groups to organize some sort of rotating snack duty or potluck system.
-You can choose to pay only to participate or you can purchase the books with your sign-up. If you purchase books, they are available for pick-up from Omnivore Books (http://www.omnivorebooks.com) and 20% of the proceeds will go to benefit the work of 18 Reasons.
