The Savannah Derby Devils women's roller derby league kick off their first competitive season against the big, bad Atlanta Rollergirls. The roughly two-hour "bout" promises to be a wild and sexy sporting event featuring a performance by local punk rock band Hot Pink Interior. Knowledge of roller derby isn't necessary to enjoy the game. The ladies will start the night off with a quick primer. Join us later for the after-party at Bogeys bar, 11414 Abercorn Street.
The Savannah Derby Devils is south Georgia's first flat-track roller derby league. Formed in March, 2006, the not-for-profit organization is a member of the Women's Flat-Track Derby Association, which means we're "by the skaters, for the skaters."
Note: BYO cushion for floor seating inside the rink or BYO chairs outside the rink. Bleecher seating is limited. Alcohol is not permitted in the facility.
