Notes
The festivities will begin at 10pm on Friday night with the Arizona premiere of two stomach-crunching hilarious shorts from Padded Productions.  “Taco Chick and Salsa Girl” is the tale of the diabolical Nazi Barbie who wants to rid the Los Angeles population of Mexicans.  Taco Chick must save the day and her companion Salsa Girl from the evil clutches of this blonde villain.  Then “Superfag” battles the evil Professor Peckerhead who is trying to brainwash all the homosexuals into converting to heterosexuals.  Cheap special effects abound, however it overcomes with sensational dialogue, acting and costumes.  Part two of Friday night will then take over with another Arizona Premiere, the debut of the divine Peaches Christ, San Francisco’s leading drag diva of B-movies.  Peaches will present her Tran-Ilogy of Terror, featuring the “Season of the Troll”, “A Nightmare on Castro Street” and “Whatever happened to Peaches Christ”.  Flying in for an exclusive engagement Peaches will introduce her films and also dish all in a Q & A.  Peaches has been the leading lady of all things b-movie in San Francisco for 10 years and has had everyone from John Waters to Elvira at the Bridge Theater.  Her short features spoof the gamut of cinema classics and you will scream with delight at the outrageous plot and characters.  Peaches is scheduled to appear at midnight until 2am.

Saturday will bring more scandalous entertainment.  At 10pm Scott Pierce’s punk rock melodies will delight as “The Insignificant Others” play with a special guest appearance by Brian Grillo.  Grillo of the band “Extra Fancy” fame is a gay punk rock icon, admired by those who recall the first on-screen kiss on cable television (MTV2) between two men from an “Extra Fancy” music video.  Following that will be a special performance by Daniel Cartier.  Cartier’s musical journey took him from playing in New York subways to a contract with Elton John’s label Rocket Records.  Unfortunately the deal fell through, however Cartier has continued to create and produce music and he will play a set of his favorites for this privileged Phoenix crowd.  Then in a culmination of the nights performers “Flirting with Anthony” will screen.  The film stars Daniel Cartier and Brian Grillo in a tale of a sexy and chaotic road trip where Anthony (Cartier) travels to a funeral but is haunted by a past that he ultimately cannot escape.  This will be the first public screening of the film in Phoenix and after the film Grillo and Cartier will partake in a Q & A where patrons can find out all the behind the scenes exclusives.  To complete this night of music, movies and mayhem, Cartier will auction off his clothing for lucky bidders to benefit a no-kill animal shelter.
