I KNOW A WOMAN LIKE THAT a documentary by Elaine Madsen
Please join us for the Spring Fundraiser benefiting The Works Cooperative, a dance and exercise studio in Berkeley. On Thursday, April 29th we will present an exclusive Bay Area screening of the new and acclaimed documentary, "I Know a Woman Like That." This film, which premiered at last year's Chicago Film Festival, follows the lives of an amazing group of women passionately engaged in spirited endeavors at a time when the world expects women of this generation to be reclining in rocking chairs. It features Elaine and Virginia Madsen, Eartha Kitt, Rita Moreno, Meg Starbuck, Maxine Hong Kinston and Lauren Hutton. The event will be moderated by Sedge Thomson, the host of West Coast Live.
The Works is honored that Rita Moreno, Maxine Hong Kingston, and Elaine Madsen, the film's producer, will be joining us at this event and will lead a discussion after the screening.
