Spring Awakening
Before it was adapted into a hit Broadway musical, Frank Wedekind's play took an unflinching look at the damage the pressures, hypocrisies and ignorance of adult society inflict on the young. Join Promethean as we explore the struggles of youth to find their own way in the world. Starring PTE ensemble members Devon Candura and Nick Lake as Wendla and Melchior, as well as guest artists Jes Bedwinek, Zachary Clark, Sara Gorsky, Jessica London-Shields, Paul G. Miller, Tyler Rich and Cole Simon. Please note that the show is being performed at The Artistic Home, 3914 N Clark St., and NOT our usual venue! There is one preview on Friday April 16, with official opening on Saturday April 17. Don't forget that you can combine admission to the 4/18 3 pm matinee and our wine-tasting fundraiser "A Taste of Spring" (also for sale on BPT) for just $35!
