Island Time
Simple Measures brings the country's premiere jazz string quartet to Seattle. Come relax to the cool strains of this unique ensemble, interspersed with a quartet of our own musicians playing classical tunes that speak to the jazz. Then enjoy the combined forces of both quartets as we play music for octet by The Beatles, Milhaud, and David Balakrishnan,TIQ's violist. Also on the program: a two-cello arrangement of TIQ cellist Mark Summer's much loved "Julie-O."
