Event
Mirror Noir; Arcade Fire
(Vincent Morisset Canada/France, 2008, HD, 70 min)
Elevator concerts, communal singing, mad telephone threats and remote-controlled cars. Moon gives us an alternative to the traditional 'making-of' documentary and concert film with Mirror Noir which follows Arcade Fire on their around-the-world tour getting up close in the studio as they prepare the recording for 'Neon Bible'. The sensual Super 8 footage, the alternatingly moving and insane messages from fans and non-fans on the band's answering machine and the fantastic scenes, where Wyn Butler and co. hurl themselves into playing among thousands of fans: all of this you get served on a silver platter by Moon again under his alter ego, the hip music video director Morisset.
