Chanteur, auteur et compositeur, il a sorti quatre albums depuis 2003 et a beaucoup tourné. Il a été nommé aux Victoires de la musique 2014 dans la catégorie Révélation scène .
Musicien, il travaille depuis le milieu des années 1990 en tant que clavier, bassiste, arrangeur ou réalisateur pour un grand nombre d'artistes (Miossec, Vanessa Paradis, Keren Ann, Arthur H, Alain Souchon, Raphael, Mathieu Boogaerts, Jean-Louis Aubert, Salif Keita entre autres).
Le nouvel album d'Albin de la Simone s'intitule Un homme, et on aurait pu ajouter "de l'ombre". Car malgré un charme certain, la discographie du Français, dont ce nouveau recueil constitue le quatrième chapitre, reste depuis bientôt dix ans confidentielle. L'ombre encore, quand Albin de la Simone oeuvre pour les autres ces dernières années, il a mis ses talents au service de Vanessa Paradis ou Iggy Pop. Le musicien conserve un certain anonymat, doublé d'une modestie rare. "Je suis le fruit de ces échanges avec les autres, je suis constitué de ça. J'ai l'impression que, dans la vie, il y a des minéraux purs et des minéraux qui sont des composites d'autres minéraux. Moi, je me sens comme un composite."

Singer-songwriter-composer, Albin de la Simone released four albums since 2003 and has toured extensively. He was nominated for a "Victoire de la Musique 2014" award as "Best Newcomer".
Musician, starting in the middle of the 1990s, he gained valuable experience as a studio pianist as well as a stage performer, and even tried his hand at arranging or producing every now and then for a number of leading singers such as Miossec, Vanessa Paradis, Keren Ann, Arthur H, Alain Souchon, Raphael, Mathieu Boogaerts, Jean-Louis Aubert, Salif Keita, etc.
His new and fourth album, Un homme, could also have been entitled Un homme de l'ombre. Because, despite a certain charm, the French singer-songwriter's discography remained confidential for nearly a decade.
