VWA Presents the Wild and Scenic Film Festival
Join the Ventana Wilderness Alliance on Thursday, October 17th at the Nickelodeon Theatre in Santa Cruz for fantastic films about wild things & wild places, guaranteed to inspire you to get outside & give back! This seventh annual VWA presentation is the first Monterey Bay stop on the Wild & Scenic world tour. All proceeds benefit wilderness conservation in the Big Sur backcountry.

Umunhum

Mount Umunhum stands 3,486 feet tall between the San Francisco Bay and the Pacific Ocean. To restore the top of the mountain and open it to the public, Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District collaborated with the Amah Mutsun Tribal Band. The results of this collaboration are deeply meaningful and visually stunning for anyone who visits the peak.
