Introduce your child to the joy of classical & jazz music with the warm and lively Red Canna trio. With a program of comedy bits and super hero theme songs mixed in with Red Canna's standard repertoire, children will enjoy familiar tunes alongside beautiful pieces by Astor Piazzolla, T.S. Monk, Hermeto Pascoal and original compositions by pianist Elizabeth Woodbury Kasius. The musicians will take time to demonstrate the unique voice of each instrument and allow the children to get up close and see how the music is made.
Along with Woodbury Kasius, the group features the stunning violin of Mitsuko Suzuki of the Albany Symphony, heralded jazz mainstay Bobby Kendall on upright bass, and classical vocalist Shari Parslow.
This is a free and family friendly event. Reservations are strongly suggested due to limited seating.
