In a genre where storytelling and songcraft is paramount, Richard Shindell has proven himself to be one of the folk world's most gifted songsmiths. From his first record, Sparrow's Point (1992) to his current release, Careless (2016), Shindell has explored the possibilities of what a song can be. His songs paint pictures, tell stories, juxtapose ideas, and inhabit characters, all while vividly evoking entire worlds along the way. Apart from his solo work, Shindell is also known for helping to form folk supergroup, Cry Cry Cry, with Lucy Kaplansky and Dar Williams.
Opening the show will be Boston-based singer-songwriter Danielle Miraglia. She is armed with a strong steady thumb on an old Gibson, an infectious stomp-box rhythm and harmonica.
