'18 Sing Nowell: Music of the Season from the British Isles
When the holiday season finds you pining for some figgy pudding, this concert will get you in the holiday spirit! The program features a wide diversity of musical styles, and all composers hail from across the pond. First, Vesper Chorale and Vesper Chamber Orchestra will present John Rutter's dazzling and joyful setting of the Magnificat, a celebration of the Virgin Mary. The second half of the program features shorter works. Gustav Holst, Ralph Vaughan Williams, and Herbert Howells are the expected composers present; and lovely pieces by Jonathan Dove, Bob Chilcott, and William Mathias also make their way on to the program. Christmas carols, both familiar and lesser known, round out this wonderful holiday celebration!

Pre-concert lecture begins 30 minutes before each concert.

McKayela Collins-Hornor, soprano; Anne Marie Weaver, piano; Sandra Rhein, organ; Jeshua Franklin, conductor
