Join us at Caffe Lena for the seventh annual Banjo Revelry. Enjoy the amazing versatility of banjo as four master level players give us a dynamic night of Old-Time, Folk, Celtic and Bluegrass of every variety.

Bob Altschuler has played banjo for 40 years, and is a performer, instructor and writer. He has performed in numerous bands since 1975, and played on National Public Radio and radio and TV commercials. An in-demand instructor for over 35 years, he teaches privately and at workshops, and has headed the beginner track at Banjo Camp North since 2003.

Martin Grosswendt has been playing banjo for almost 50 years.  He was fortunate to be early exposed to clawhammer legend Reed Martin, who had a great influence on his early playing and remains a life-long musical beacon.  Martin has taught at music camps across the U.S. and in the U.K.  In addition to clawhammer style, he plays pre-Bluegrass finger-style banjo, and is a committed teacher of the playing of Dock Boggs.

Jerry Oland has been playing bluegrass-style banjo in the Hudson Valley for close to 50 years. He has played the 5 string banjo with numerous bands including The Arm Bros., Wheelhoss, The Millstone Valley Boys, Wildcat Creek, The John Herald Band, Out To Lunch, Bear Acker & Billings Gap, Stan Tyminski & Rustic Blue, Blue Plate Special, Buddy Merriam and Back Roads, The Hayrollers, and Stacy Phillips and His Bluegrass Characters. He has played on stage with Byron Berline, Ernie Sykes, Evan Stover, Bob Harris, Michael Sassano, Jen Larsen, Arlin Greene, Frank Wakefield, Chad Darou, Ron Sutton and Dan Tyminski.

Sara Grey is a fine American singer, banjo player and song collector. Shes immersed in the song traditions of both sides of the Atlantic. Sara has performed throughout the UK, Europe, North America, and Australia for the past 50 years. She performs a wide range of American traditions including old-time songs and ballads from the Appalachians, Ozarks, New England and the West, blues and gospel music.

Sara will perform with her son, Kieron Means. Kieron is a singer and guitar player of great merit. He was born in the United States and grew up in Britain with the music of both traditions. He is a fine performer of traditional and contemporary songs.
