This month's Bright New Music Series pick is Seattle duo Ben Hunter and Joe Seamons. These two young men are dedicated to spreading the glory and whimsy of traditional folk and blues. Since meeting in 2012 they've delved deep into traditional and communal American musical styles, developing their own spin by adapting the arrangements of musical legends to their main instruments: fiddle and banjo. Joe and Ben play blues, rags, folk songs, and fiddle tunes fusing the gritty hollers of the south with the ethos of their home in the Pacific Northwest.
