Join us at Caffe Lena for the sixth annual Banjo Revelry. Enjoy the amazing versatility of banjo as four master level players give us a dynamic night of Old-Time, Folk, Celtic and Bluegrass of every variety.

Aubrey Atwater is a Rhode Island based folk musician who combines traditional and original music on guitar, dulcimer, Irish tin whistle, mandolin, and old-time banjo. Aubrey is also a workshop leader who teaches with clarity, humor, patience, and a deep understanding of traditional music and dance.

Martin Grosswendt is a renowned and seasoned multi-instrumentalist who got his start at Caffe Lena playing with Utah Phillips, Rosalie Sorrels, Tom Mitchell and others. Martin has been exploring the roots and branches of American acoustic music for more than 40 years. A master of southern traditional music, his fingerpicking, bottleneck playing and singing amaze and move audiences, critics and musicians alike.

David Kiphuth, a banjo devotee since 1962, is an outstanding bluegrass, and old time-banjo player and singer. Dave grew up in Connecticut, where he helped found Apple Country with Phil Rosenthal. He's also played with Frank Wakefield, John Rossbach's Chestnut Grove, and The Oldtime Bluegrass Singers with Dick Bowden, Herb Applin and Lillian Fraker.

Bob Altschuler has played banjo for 40 years, and is a performer, instructor and writer. He has performed in numerous bands since 1975, and played on National Public Radio and radio and TV commercials. An in-demand instructor for over 35 years, he teaches privately and at workshops, and has headed the beginner track at Banjo Camp North since 2003.
