Its 1967, and Nashvilles legendary black medical school has just admitted its first white student. Now Eli Rosenberg and Michael DuBois, a black student struggling to live up to his fathers legacy, are forced to work together inside the pressure cooker of medical school in the turbulent 1960s. At odds from the moment they meet, Eli and Michael not only clash with each other, they battle the mysteries of medicine, two warring professors, and a student body distrustful of them.
