Star of Wonder at Bastyr University Chapel
Star of Wonder showcases music from around the world that evokes the winter lights of the holiday season. The program covers over a thousand years of choral music, from medieval chant to contemporary works. Centerpieces include the ethereally beautiful Stars by Eriks Esenvalds, Morten Lauridsens O magnum mysterium, and Eric Whitacres shimmering Lux Aurumque. Also featured are recent works by Judith Weir, John Rutter, and Gabriel Jackson.
Free pre-concert talks by conductor Karen P. Thomas one hour prior to all performances of Star of Wonder.
