Alan Chartock & The Berkshire Ramblers - A Folksong Benefit for Caffe Lena
Caffe Lena at The Grove at Neumann

Share this event:

The Berkshire Ramblers champion folk songs of the "old style" with concerts to benefit causes near and dear to their hearts, and Caffe Lena is honored to be one those! They capture the essence of folk music: familiar songs we can all sing along with that celebrate togetherness rather than celebrity. Founding Ramblers are Joe Browdy and WAMC's Alan Chartock. They've been playing together, in one form or another, for well over forty years. Alan sings & plays banjo, Roselle Chartock, a Skidmore alum who once worked at the Caffe, sings and plays percussion. They're joined by Browdy on guitar, Michael Eck on mandolin, Don McGrory on steel guitar, multi-instrumentalists Paula Bradley and Bill Dilloff of Moonshine Holler, Nico de Hernandez on stand-up bass, and YOU because you're part of the chorus tonight!
