Her breathtaking voice --often like warm honey-- her honest and beautiful songs, her exquisite arrangements, the utter integrity of her presentation and her gentle connection to our souls reminds us softly of our human condition. Jim Dawson is one of the great singer/songwriters of our generation with a large body of intensely loyal admirers of his songwriting and his amazing voice. With a recording career that has continued to grow since the 1970s, Jim's songs have been recorded by artists as diverse as Mary Travers and Elmo (from Sesame Street). Thirty years ago, Dawson launched his career with a critically acclaimed debut record Songman, and its songs made it a classic in the hearts of thousands. Jim has released many albums since Songman debuted, but now Jim has had the rare opportunity to re-consider and re-record these songs that helped shape his career and his life.
