ROY BOOK BINDER

Roy Book Binderhas earned his stripes: "The Book" travelled with The Rev. Gary Davis in the '60s; re-discovered Pink Anderson and revived his career in the '70s; and has been included in The Blues Who's Who and the Big Book Of Blues.

Roy has appeared on TNN's Nashville Now 30 times with many of Country Music's biggest legends, and has toured nationally with Bonnie Raitt, JJ Cale, Hot Tuna ...you name it, Roy has done it! The Book left Greenwich Village in 1976, moved into a tour bus and lived on the road for the next 15 years! Roy borrowed from his heroes to become a distinct voice in the blues and folk music world. "The stories are as good as the songs," said the Sydney Morning Herald in Australia. He has appeared at the National Storytelling Festival numerous times, as well as the Chicago Blues Festival, the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival and the King Biscuit Blues Festival.

At Merlefest, Book Binder has hosted the acoustic blues stage for the past 16 years and he has been invited more than a few times to appear at the world famous Philadelphia Folk Festival, including the 40th & 50th anniversaries!

Roy Book Binder has been to Hell and back (specifically, performing at the Blues Festival in Hell, Norway last August). But, he is still out on the road, entertaining audiences around the world where he is well known as a singing-songwriting-storytelling-fingerpickin' blues legend.

Roy Book Binder's eclectic repertoire includes blues, country tunes, bluegrass, folk and popular songs that originated on Tin Pan Alley. Jorma Kaukonen included Roy's songs on his last two albums.

PAUL GEREMIA

For almost forty years, Paul Geremia has survived solely by the fruit of his musical labours. Having abandoned all other means of support in 1966, he has been travelling far & wide ever since, performing in every capacity from street singing to club & concert bookings throughout the US, Canada and Europe.

In the years since, Geremia has built a reputation as a first rate bluesman, songwriter, a "scholar" of early jazz & blues and one of the best country blues fingerpickers ever. With his tools --six and twelve-string guitars, harmonica, piano and a husky soulful voice-- and with an innate sense of the humor along with the drama of the music, he keeps traditional blues fresh & alive with his performances.
