EDUCATE A CHILD. BUILD A SCHOOL. STRENGTHEN A NATION' CAPITAL CAMPAIGN
"Educate A Child. Build A School. Strengthen A Nation", the capital campaign for Jamaica Impact, Inc. is aimed at making a significant difference in the educational needs of pre-school children in the inner-city of Kingston Jamaica Maxfield Park community by providing them with an adequate, safe, secure building for learning.
Currently, one of our adopted basic schools Maxfield Park Basic School has been in operation for over fifty (50) years is in a state of disrepair. Located on the grounds of the Maxfield Park Children's Home, it is operated by the Children's Home and serves all the children between the ages of three (3) and six (6) who reside in the Home. The building is made of untreated lumber and has become termite infested. The termites have done extensive damage to various parts of the building, which are now falling apart and are currently a health hazard for both children and staff.
Why Should You Care or Help?
The school, like most in this impoverished area receives little or no funding from the government but even more significant, this is a school whose entire student population is either orphaned or abandoned. We are not just erecting a building, but providing a foundation and investing in the lives of our children for an impactful future. We realize that education is universal and that all children should receive the best quality education possible regardless of where they reside across the globe.
