A Life in Music
Temple Beth Israel, Waltham Singer, composer, actress, and cantor Rosalie Gerut is the daughter of Holocaust survivors and co-founder of One by One, an international, nonprofit anti-racism organization established by the children of both survivors and members of the Nazi Regime. Rosalie's father and grandfather were Yiddishists and folk musicians; she has carried on the tradition. Accompanied by renowned musician and ethnomusicologist, Hankus Netsky, the concert will feature a lifetime of Jewish music, from folksongs passed down from her grandfather to recent compositions for musical theatre including ART's production, Schlemiel the First.
PLEASE NOTE: Tickets at the door will be $20.
