Forgiveness of Blood, The
Joshua Marston, who directed the remarkable Maria Full of Grace in 2004, is back with a new film, this one set in present day Albania. But you wouldn't know it, given the medieval conditions in which the characters live. In the manner of the great Italian neo-realist films, Marston meticulously captures the lives of a family caught up in a blood feud as they try to eke out a living by delivering bread. Played this year's Toronto Film Festival.
Director Joshua Marston will be in attendance to introduce his film.
