Multi-GRAMMY Award nominee, Brazilian pianist/singer/composer/arranger Eliane Elias is known for her distinctive and immediately recognizable musical style which blends her Brazilian roots, her sensuous, alluring voice with her impressive compositional and piano skills. All her recordings went top five on Billboard and top five on the radio charts in the U.S., with many reaching number one. In Japan, four of Eliane's recordings received the Gold Disc Award from Swing Journal, (including consecutively her last three releases). Her 2007 release, Something for You, received the Best Vocal Album of the Year Award in Japan. In 2008, Eliane was the number two artist in CD sales in France on the Annual Jazz Charts.

Her latest album, Light My Fire  released on May 31, 2011 on Concord Picante, a division of Concord Music Group  debuted at #3 on Billboard's Jazz Chart and so far, has reached #3 on iTunes and #4 on Amazon's Jazz Charts. Eliane and Light My Fire are receiving great praise and unanimously amazing reviews. The CD features Eliane on vocals and piano, her arranging, and four compositions written or co-written by Eliane herself. It also includes covers of familiar works by songwriters as diverse as Jim Morrison and the Doors, pop icon Stevie Wonder and jazz saxophonist Paul Desmond. Backing her is a crew of twelve high-caliber players, including special guests such as guitarist/vocalist Gilberto Gil and trumpeter Randy Brecker.
