Mizzou's Right to Bear New Music
Faculty and student musicians from the MU School of Music take the stage performing Roger Reynolds' Seasons: Cycle 1d: A Mind of Winter and Anna Clyne's Steelworks for ensemble and tape that incorporates interviews with employees at Flame Cut Steel in Brooklyn, NY. Works by Mizzou faculty composers are represented by Stefan Freund's powerhouse percussion ensemble work The Right to Bear Drums and Onagraven for oboe and electronics by W. Thomas McKenney.
The Mizzou New Music Summer Festival box office will open two hours prior to each concert. The evening of Tuesday, July 12, the box office will be located in the lobby outside of Whitmore Recital Hall in the Fine Arts Building on the MU campus. For performances taking place July 14-16, the Missouri Theatre Center for the Arts' box office will be open two hours prior to each concert.
