Wrenched
Join the Ventana Wilderness Alliance at the Del Mar Theatre for a special screening of Wrenched: how Edward Abbey lit the flame of environmental activism and gave the movement its soul. The film captures the passing of the monkey wrench from the pioneers of eco-activism to a new generation carrying Edward Abbey's legacy into the 21st century. How far are you willing to go in defense of wilderness?
Arrive early to meet friends over fine ales by Discretion Brewing in the mezzanine, where you can also purchase tickets for a raffle of great prizes from Patagonia, REI, Kennan Ward Photography and many others. At 7pm we'll enjoy a special live introduction by Edward Abbey's sister, activist and educator Nancy Abbey. This will be a night to remember but sell-out of our small venue is almost guaranteed. Advance tickets are strongly advised.
