The story of Italian Prime Minister Giulio Andreotti, who has been elected Prime Minister, by Parliament, seven times since it was established in 1946. The narration spans the period since the seventh election of Andreotti as Prime Minister of Italy in 1992, the failed bid of presidency of the Italian Republic, Tangentopoli (which he managed to escape), until the trial in which he was accused of collusion with the Mafia.
In 2008 it was nominated for the Palme D'Or at Cannes and won the prestigious Prix du Jury.
