Danielle Ate The Sandwich:

My name is Danielle. I write songs about things I feel and things I wonder what it would be like to feel. I write about things I know and things I don't know. I write these songs using my astonishing wit and candor and through the help of wikipedia, and other untrustworthy internet sources.

My influences include Simon and Garfunkel, Bob Dylan, Joni Mitchell, Death Cab for Cutie, and Joanna Newsom. I love the voice of Peggy Lee, Ella Fitzgerald and Blossom Dearie. Also, I listened to a lot of boy bands in middle schooland high school and a little in college. I am influenced most, by words and language and the challenge of using them in new and different ways.

Born in Nebraska and living in Colorado since 2000, I was always active in choir, band and orchestra through school. I had and continue to have supportive and musical parents. I have a notebook full of songs from sixth grade, so I have proof that I've been writing songs for at least that long. I taught myself to play guitar in high school and the ukulele in the summer of 2007 after my friend, Brandon, gave it to me as a gift. I got my first true experience of performing when I played violin and sang in the band Backdraft: the Musical, which I liked to call, Awesome: the Phenomenon. Although I've been playing and writing for most of my life, I've only had the guts to play my own songs out in public since 2006.

One lucky day in December, 2008, I had a video featured on youtube's homepage. Since then, listeners from all over the world have watched and commented on my videos and songs. It's made a lot of things possible for me, especially the opportunity to play my songs around the country and have an audience of people who seem ready and willing to listen.

I am pursuing music full time and letting it take me where it wants to. I'd love to be everywhere and do everything. Hopefully, I'll continue to get the chance to write music, play music and travel with music. I'll come to your town next. We can hang out. I'll bring my *Ultimate Boy Band Mix 1999*.

Brandon Henderson Bio:

I don't do well with coming up with some clever banter to tell people about myself and my music. Nor do I have a long list of awards and accolades, in the traditional sense, to make mention of.  I suppose I could say I've written a lot of songs and played them for a pretty respectable amount of people.  In trying to come up with a bio I looked at a lot of other artist's bios. They all seem to work for those artists but for me, I feel the best way I can express what I'm about is to not express it at all and let some of my supporters do the proverbial "talking". Here's what some of them had to say. Thanks to all of you for sharing.

Brandon has been influential throughout the years of listening to him. His music appeals to every person I have shared it with and continue to share with. Brandon gives his heart and soul into every song he writes and you can tell just by looking at the lyrics. The first time reading them, one would think that he spent years upon years thinking of the perfect words to say to make a masterpiece, but he has demonstrated and continues to demonstrate the magic that goes on in his head as he transforms his thoughts to a musical beauty. It is out of my imagination how he comes up and presents what he does, but I'm very thankful for it.

I've secretly watched your progression since you were a budding artist in high school.  It is amazing to see the raw talent you have possessed for so many years and yet the way in which you have been sculpting your sound is beautiful. Each lyric has a meaning and rings true to the heart. I look forward to each new song and album. Thank you for being an innovative and outstanding performer.

Thanks Brandon

-Mandy

Dear Brandon,

I love your music.  I hope you can play another time.   I remember the first
time I saw you play at Pikes Perk and you let me sing Tripping Billies with
you.    My favorite song is Cold Air Burns the Lungs or as my brother calls
it, The Bumping Song.

Love,
Morgan

Brandon,
Your music is...well I won't say it.  To say that it is beautiful is really not doing it justice.  I will say this, your music does exactly what it is supposed to do.  It reaches out and connects, human to human, soul to soul.
My grandfather recently died and I played your song "where I'll be" for hours.  Anyway, I just thought I should let you know how I appreciated you and your music...I don't tell people that enough.

Ryan

Hey Brandon,

I'm just a fan of yours and I just want to say keep up the good work.  I really appreciate the pasion that you have for your music.  I can really relate to alot of your songs seeing how I am no longer with my first love.  Its good to hear music that I can connect to.  Like I said before, keep up the good work.

Michael
